The Calabash Blues & Boogie Band is a band steeped in the musical tradition of roots music. The group’s music is based largely on the Texas/Mississippi/Chicago blues of the40’s & 50’s, emulating such artists as Elmore James, T Bone Walker, John Lee Hooker, Howlin’ Wolf, Freddie King, Albert King, and B. B. King just to name a few.

It is a 6-member group consisting of 2 lead guitars, organ/piano, bass, drums, and lead vocalist.

The band dresses in the traditional clothing style of the 40’s to help enhance the spirit of the music.
